Terms and Conditions:

Welcome to EduKate. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website www.edukate-services.com and participation in all EduKate programmes, including EduKate Entrepreneurs, EduKate Creative Writing, and EduKate Tutoring Services (“Services”). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use immediately.

1. Eligibility

  • EduKate programmes are designed for children and young people under 18, with full consent from a parent or legal guardian.

  • Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring their child attends sessions safely and follows all programme expectations.

  • Accurate information must be provided when booking or enrolling in any EduKate service.

2. Educational Use Only

  • EduKate Services are for personal, educational, and non-commercial use.

  • Students and parents agree to follow all instructions, schedules, safety rules, and learning materials provided by EduKate staff.

  • Misuse of any EduKate service—including inappropriate behaviour, disruption, or sharing harmful content—may result in removal from the programme.

3. Intellectual Property

  • All teaching materials, lesson plans, videos, branding assets, pupil resources, and digital content remain the intellectual property of EduKate.

  • You may not copy, distribute, modify, or resell any EduKate content without written permission.

  • Unauthorised use may result in removal from programmes and potential legal action.

4. Student Conduct

  • Students must behave respectfully toward tutors, staff, and other students at all times.

  • Bullying, harassment, offensive language, discrimination, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.

  • EduKate reserves the right to remove any student who breaches conduct expectations.

5. Tutoring Sessions (In Person & Online)

  • Tutoring may be delivered in person or online, depending on parent preference and tutor availability.

  • Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising online sessions where appropriate.

  • For in‑person tutoring, parents must ensure safe drop-off and collection arrangements.

  • EduKate may record or monitor online sessions for safeguarding and quality assurance.

6. Payments & Refunds

  • Payment for tutoring sessions, workshops, or programmes must be made in advance using approved payment methods.

  • Missed sessions without at least 24 hours’ notice may not be refunded.

  • Refunds for multi-session programmes or clubs are assessed on a case-by-case basis.

  • If EduKate cancels a session, a replacement session or refund will be offered.

7. Limitation of Liability

  • EduKate aims to provide a safe, supportive, and high-quality learning environment but does not guarantee specific academic outcomes or business results from entrepreneurial programmes.

  • Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising their child’s online activity and ensuring safe device use.

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, EduKate is not liable for:

    • technical issues or service interruptions

    • unauthorised access to devices or communication platforms

    • misuse of Services by students or third parties

    • loss of data, earnings, or opportunities resulting from programme participation

8. Privacy, Data Protection & Child Safety

  • EduKate complies with UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, and all relevant safeguarding legislation.

  • Personal information is collected, stored, and used in accordance with our Privacy Policy [insert link].

  • We do not share personal data with third parties except where required for safeguarding, legal compliance, or service delivery.

  • All staff hold enhanced DBS checks and follow strict safeguarding procedures.

9. Media, Photography & Pupil Work

  • EduKate will only use photographs, videos, or pupil work with explicit parental consent.

  • Parents may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

  • No identifying information will be shared publicly without permission.

10. Termination

  • EduKate may suspend or terminate participation in any programme if these Terms, safeguarding expectations, or behaviour policies are breached.

  • Parents/guardians may request withdrawal from a programme at any time.

  • Termination does not automatically entitle users to a refund.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in UK courts.

12. Changes to Terms

  • EduKate may update these Terms at any time.

  • Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.

  • Continued use of the Services after changes indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
